Just Resorts Visit Aphrodite Hills In Cyprus
By Vikki Ashton
The outstanding Aphrodite Hills holiday resort in Cyprus features a series of beautiful apartments and villas, a blissful destination spa, a championship golf course, a tennis academy, clubs for younger visitors and a characterful village square adorned with some high quality restaurants and bars. The scope of the resort is perhaps the most surprising element of a stay here, as Just Resorts roving reporter Sam Rippingham discovered on his recent trip. Here's what he had to say upon arrival"It was my first visit to Aphrodite Hills and I was immediately struck by how beautiful it was. It's just immaculate throughout, very authentic in style with intricate stonework and attractive landscaping - I was blown away by the cleanliness and sheer size of the place. You can hire a car to get around the resort, but lots of people were enjoying Segway Tours which looked like a lot of fun."
Aphrodite Hills is no ordinary holiday resort, laid out in a series of Greek themed villages it is a rare commodity where you have literally everything at your disposal regardless of whether you want to relax and unwind or enjoy the extensive leisure pursuits. Golfing enthusiasts will feel right at home on the 18 hole championship course designed by Cabell Robinson, which lends views out ot the Mediterranean Sea. There's a double ended 350 metre practice range too along with the services of three PGA qualified resident golf instructors and a 3 hole golf academy for beginners to learn the basics of how to play effectively. A luxurious Clubhouse and bar awaits players after proceedings have finished.Location wise you'll find the resort situated only 10 minutes from Paphos, so if you wanted a night out you can hop into a taxi or even catch a local bus from the stop situated near the Golf Club, which at a cost of only 1 Euro offers easy and convenient access to the town, and Aphrodite Rock. Sam visited the resort as part of a Travel Trade weekend, and was particularly impressed by the quality of the restaurants and the facilities for younger guests in resort: "Firstly, there's about 15 restaurants to choose from, so a huge range of choice. We sampled several throughout our stay and the food here was really special. There's an authentic Greek taverna which is not to be missed, and the Village Square where they are all situated has a great atmosphere with diners enjoying the buzz. The Anoi Pub was a great addition too, for those who wanted to watch the football in a sports bar type setting. The kids club was exceptional too with organised activities, educational pursuits, fun learning and some excellent equipment. Guests booking with Just Resorts should remember that we offer 5 hours of free childcare for those aged 3-12 per stay. Families visiting with children under the age of 3 can utilise the creche which incurs an additional charge. And naturally families will love the accessible sports facilities the resort has to offer too."
Accommodation wise, Aphrodite Hills lends a vast range of options depending on your needs and travelling party size. With a choice of one bedroom luxury apartments, 2 or 3 bedroom Junior Villas, 2, 3, 4 or 5 bedroom Superior Villas and the crowning glory of the 2 independent 5 bedroom Mythos Villas - you'll be spoilt for choice. Guests residing in the villas can enjoy the option of the Half Board dine around too to maximise value from their stay. Sam summarised his trip succinctly: "I would wholeheartedly recommend this resort to anyone wanting a luxury holiday in Cyprus but especially to families as there has been so much thought gone into catering for younger guests. It's just a fantastic place to stay."
