We had to leave it to the last minute this October half term. Unsure if the air corridor would close before we left for Cyprus and nervous our COVID tests would come back positive. We needn't have worried, both plans fell into place and after a 4 hour flight we found ourselves opening the door to a beautiful luxury villa on the stunning Aphrodite Hills Resort in Cyprus.
Everything was perfect, so much so, we extended our 10 day stay to 14 days and made the flight back with 3 hours to spare before the corridor closed!
Aphrodite Hills Resort is a fabulous 5 Star resort in Cyprus, just a 20 minute transfer from the main airport in Paphos. Our villa had everything, space, private pool, stunning sea views, breathtaking sunsets, seclusion and privacy, yet still within a short distance of the many facilities on offer at the Village Square The hub of the resort boasts a selection of excellent restaurants, a supermarket, pharmacy, Costa Coffee, Hagen Daz ice cream parlour, golf clubhouse and 18 hole PGA Championship Golf Course, bike hire, tennis courts, football, an award winning spa and much more.....
We ventured out a couple of evenings and found an array of superb restaurants in Paphos, Golden Sakura the Japanese, Duomo a fanastic Italian to name a few.
My children are now both 15 years old and I wanted to find a resort that would cater for their needs, provide some much needed freedom and safety whilst giving us all a home away from home but with the added bonus of 27 degrees every day and not a cloud to be seen. What a fantastic boost of Vitamin D before we arrived back in the UK to grey skies and another lock-down :(
