By Paula Ball
As part of our ongoing commitment to providing our clients with the best luxury holiday experiences, our resort experts have once again been exploring our 5-star resort villa holiday destinations. This time it was to the beautiful Costa Adeje area of Tenerife, staying at Las Terrazas de Abama and Los Jardines de Abama. From lush landscapes to world-class facilities, this trip allowed our team to gain first hand insight into what makes the resort a truly unique retreat. Join us as we recount our experiences and share why this resort should be at the top of your travel list.

What did Vikki and Sarah have to say:
“We were blown away by the beautiful location, stunning views of the ocean and La Gomera as well as the magnificent golf course and gardens. The two resorts nestle side by side with sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean, and are appointed and furnished to the highest standards, offering modern, clean, and exceptional quality accommodation. The beds were very comfortable with fresh crisp linen and fluffy bath towels. The villas and suites have everything you’d expect in a 5 star villa resort, including fully fitted kitchens, en-suite bathrooms, and large furnished terraces as well as breathtaking views. Travelling during March you’d expect the swimming pools to be cold, but not at this resort! All the pools, including the shared ones, are heated, making it a perfect year-round destination.
We ventured to the golf course and club house, the only disappointment was that we didn’t bring our clubs; although we could have hired a couple of sets, unfortunately time wasn’t on our side! The 18-hole golf course is in immaculate condition having hosted many international championships. The course also contains more than 300 species of subtropical plants and 23 lakes spread over 60 hectares.
Dining was on another level with the Michelin star restaurant Melvin, where we were treated to the most incredible culinary delights, so enjoyable, we ate there twice! We also sampled some of the other incredible restaurants at the resort and the nearby hotel – Ritz Carlton Abama, where guests of Las Terrazas and Los Jardines have access to all the facilities including the beach club and restaurants. The resort shuttle is to order and will take you down to the beach club in less than 5 minutes. Our friendly driver got to know us well and would put on our favourite music for the short ride back to the villa.
Inspecting the Kids Camp was also a treat. A truly inspirational summer camp with activities and entertainment like we’d never seen before. There is no technology or video games, the whole concept is synonymous with nature and features a host of tents in a camping style environment, where the Kids Camp Rangers offer a variety of creative activities and outings so the children’s imaginations can run wild. The Kids Camp at this resort is so much more than a typical kids' club – it offers an immersive experience in a unique environment where children can explore, learn, and play in a way that goes beyond traditional activities, providing them with a truly enriching experience that makes their time at the resort unforgettable.
We went on to visit the recently renovated tennis and padel centre, with 7 tennis courts and 4 padel courts. The views, again, are outstanding from this location with views of Mount Teide and the National Park.
Sadly, we departed in our transfer vehicle after 4 days of bliss, nevertheless we couldn’t wait to get back to work to start telling all our clients about this jewel in the crown. This really is the perfect year-round resort with everything to offer families and groups looking for fun and relaxation or sporting packages”
